Getting invaluable insights is a must in the world of online marketing just as for any other thing in this world. This is the reason why business owners and online marketers are trying unique ways to attract potential customers for developing mutually-benefiting relationships.
One of the best options in this regard is email marketing by which online businessescan easily promote their products and services.
Before we proceed any further, it is highly important to note that email marketing should not be a forced affair. This means that promotional emails should be sent to only those who are interested (or opt-in) to receive such emails. Moreover, each of the promotional emails must have the option to “opt-out” so that customers feel free to do business with you. This will also help prospects of the business in the long run by building credible business relationships. Never ever sell or rent email list of customers. If you cannot respect the privacy or value of your customers, they will not take a second before leaving you.
In addition to that, do make it a point to recheck claims and facts included in the emails before clicking on the “send” button so that no single piece of false information is provided to the customers. Furthermore, include a section through which customers can express their opinions and preferences (allow them to express positive as well as negative opinions) and work on them. Remember, customers prefer businesses that care for them by responding to their needs, before-sale and after-sale.
However, it is important to note that email marketing must be planned and implemented carefully and should not force or mislead customers.
According to a recently concluded study, online giving grew 14 percent in 2009. It was disclosed by the study that nonprofits reported more gifts and were able to grow their email files.
Volume of traffic to a nonprofit’s website is responsible for 38 percent of its success in building large email files.
Overall, 69 percent of 499 nonprofits studied raised more online in 2009 than 2008, while 31 percent saw online fundraising decline, says the Convio Online Marketing Nonprofit Benchmark Index Study.
Among nonprofits that grew their online fundraising in 2009, 92 percent generated more online gifts, while just 43 percent saw an increase in the average gift amount.
Online giving to small nonprofits grew fastest, with online revenue growing 26 percent and online gifts growing 32 percent for nonprofits with fewer than 10,000 email addresses on file, says the study, which analyzed data compiled from nonprofits with at least 24 months of data.
It was also revealed that web traffic grew only 6 percent when compared to double-digit growth in previous years despite the fact that 60 percent of nonprofits grew their website traffic from 2008 to 2009.
